The Lost Mile

 

A sadistic killer has dumped the mutilated remains of society's most vulnerable women on a lost and lonely stretch of road in the Great Smoky Mountains. Nearing the end of her shadow period within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, Special Agent Audra Beck leads the investigation.

Haunted by childhood memories and saddled with a burned-out partner, she finds herself isolated after a brutal attack. One of the local deputies is compromised, maybe more.

Any allies she might have peel away one by one, leaving her with a cold, hard truth—she either catches the killer fast, or she's the next to die on the Lost Mile.
